INDEPENDANCE DAY

Seth and I had a lot of fun with our neighbors on the 4th. It started with the "big" parade (where we sold one puppy) in the morning, barbeque in the eve and lots of mostly leagle fireworks at night. We bought the sparklers for the kids but I ended up manopolizing them. Oh-and we learned that buring your christmas tree in the middle of the road is against the law. Oops!

These two (Carter Hawkins) had a cracker fest during the 4th barbaque. They seemed to be having a contest over who could smash the most crakers, get them slobbery, and then eat them off of each others sticky chub rolls.

Seth Takes a Vacation!

Seths Grandma Llewellyn flew down from New Jersey for the week-hence the Bryce Canyon trip, sadley at the last minute Seth couldn't make cause his business is so busy (mixed blessing). That is why I took my old college roomate Heather instead of Seth to the Bockholt Family Reunion- definitly non traditional but it turned out really fun. Seth still really wanted to see his Grandma- it had been 3.5 years- so we made a trip down to Orem. One would think that this wouldn't be significant but it is the first time is the begining of May that Seth has taken a Day off (yes that even includes Sunday-no constuction just office work) so it was awsome to spend so much uninterupted time with him that didnt invove talking about work (I now do the books for CLD). This pic is at Sundance, we took the tram which I had never done with out a snowboard attached to my feet so it was pretty cool.
Bridal Veil Falls - Kyla was so happy despite the 90 degree heat. We like Logans 80 degree weather!

Of course what is a day in the canyon without a picnic. Katryn (Krystals babe) seems to enjoy Kyla's blabber and hand waving, Im so glad they are so close in age.

So we have 2 adult labs and 12 lab pups (which are ready to sell now-spread the word if you know someone interested in a AKC lad pup) and we couldn't leave them in Hyrum or ask someone to watch-could you imiagine someone calling and saying will you babysit 14 dogs and feed/water them about 6 times a day? yeah right. We attempted to put all dogs in the back of Seth's big Doge but with all their parifiniala (wow cant spell) they didn't fit. Then my little problem solver remembered he had so extra sod and top soil soooo we layed sod in our dump trailor which could probably carry my car if needed. Then we put a baby swimming pool of water and a couple dog travel kennels. Our dogs definitly travel in style!

The funny thing is -definitly not funny at the time- the truck died in the middle of Sardine Canyon. We had had some work done on it prior to the trip and they screwed up -Seth could give you detials but I dont know a thing about trucks. We could tell the truck was dieing so I called my wonderful neighbor Heidi and told her to come pick up Kyla and I since we would probably get towed. My phone call with her cut off 1/2 way through when I lost service ahhhh! Thankfully a cop pulled up behind us -turned out to be one of our many cop neighbors and let us use his phone to figure things out. His face was priceless when I told him the contents of our trailor. Oh yeah -not to mention that our registration had expired; we renewed it but accidently left the stickers at home. He was a nice cop and took our word for it. So when Heidi arrived with her three kids she offered to help with the dogs too. We fit 2 adults, four kids (all in car seats) and 14 dogs into her minivan. I would have nerver believerd we would all fit! Seth got a ride home with the cop while Big Red was being towed back to the mechanics. Then he had to pick up one of the other trucks and go retreive the trailor. (Truck damages totalled around 3,000-the mechanics admitted their mistake and are fixing it for free)

The dump trailor the 14 dogs were in.

They Bite, Walk, and Claw!

As soon as you walk outside or sit down all 12 pups run toward you. They especially enjoy Kyla cause she is usually sticky and smells of milk.

Roxy is starting to enjoy those pesky little ones now that they are almost weened.

They love to nibble on toes (cute but sometimes hurts)

This is my dinning room (yes my linolium is hideous I plan to replace it with wood this winter). We had to put up baby gate to contain the pups to the kitchen/dinning room. People would come over and say "Oh is Kyla starting to crawl" my answer: "No, those contain the 14 dogs that live in my kitchen." You should see their faces.

Lucky for me Seth built the pups a kennel outside (its finally warmer that 40's at night). Its made out of old window wells from a past job sight-work perfect. It is soooo nice to have them out-been about about a week now Hurray!

New York II

There are sandy beaches in NY-I never knew that.  I put Kyla's feet into the wet sand and she really did not like it, she better start to like it because I have two more beach trips this summer.
Kyla sitting on the sheet, her favorite thing was to try to pull up the sheet and try to get the sand.  Oh yeah- the blurry spot on the pic is a certain someone who refused to let anyone see this pic with he or she in it.
Little Italy which is my favorite place.  I love pasta!
Im trying to get Kyla to hold a bottle by herself so I leave her with a juice bottle.  For some reason she doesn't like to touch it so she gets very creative.
I actually think this pic is adorable.  Kyla was trying to eat the flowers in central park, Jake intervened and it made Kyla upset-those flowers looked tasty!

New York

Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square

Just finished breastfeeding at Hard Rock in the queen chair.  Kyla is quite a traveler and can nurse anywhere including on top of a double decker bus.
Grandma holding sleeping Kyla in a 3 story Vitoria Secret building while I shopped.  It was awsome.

Groovy

Ooooouuueeeee Now dont I belong in an attractive family! For my birthday June 4th I got a card from my Grandma and Grandpa McRae that had these pic in it. My favorite is the mustaches my Grandpa and uncle Brett are sporting. If your wondering what is wrong with my baby pic I'll tell you- The Docs shaved my beautiful black hair (just in the front) so they could put an IV in. Anyway I thought these pics were too good to keep to myself.

I do have to comment on my mom. She looks like the second youngest person in this pic. I now know where my sis Kaylee gets her young look from...Wow. The bangs make me giggle especially since I know how much hair in her eyes drive her crazy!!

This is my actual B-Day the big 25. Half way to 50. Yay. Sadley I got mastitis the day before so I was sick as hell. Lucky for me I have the worlds greatest mom who came up and pampered me and Kyla for a couple days since Seth works ALL THE TIME. My mom took some family pics but Kyla is the only photographic one in the family, as you can tell by my blog. Seth and I did make it to a movie that night- Indiana Jones. It was fun to go on a date with my hubby, it had been awhile.
